In the ongoing saga of Kylian Mbappe's club future, recent reports are swirling around a potential move to Liverpool instead of Real Madrid.

Mbappe came close to joining Anfield back in 2017 before eventually choosing Paris.

During that time, Mbappe considered leaving Monaco for Merseyside and reportedly had a two-hour meeting with Reds owner John W. Henry on his private jet to discuss the potential transfer. L'Equipe reported that Henry went to great lengths, flying his private jet to Monaco and inviting Mbappe and his family on board to win them over. Recent reports indicate that Jurgen Klopp is interested in reviving Liverpool's pursuit of Mbappe, especially since they wouldn't have to pay any transfer fees. However, PSG is still optimistic about convincing the forward to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes.

PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi addressed the situation in detail during an appearance on the Rothen s'enflamme RMC podcast. He expressed, "Look, I am not trying to hide anything. I want Kylian Mbappe to stay at PSG. He's the best player in the world, and the best club for him is PSG."
